Ashley Elston

Ashley Elston is the author of First Lie Wins, her debut adult thriller, which was a Reese’s Book Club pick in January 2024. She is also the author of six young adult novels including The Rules for Disappearing (a finalist in the Best Young Adult Novel category of the International Thriller Awards) and 10 Blind Dates. Her work has been translated into 23 languages.

Ashley graduated with a Liberal Arts degree from Louisiana State University in Shreveport, and worked for many years as a wedding photographer before turning her hand to writing. Ashley lives in Louisiana with her husband and three sons.

Michael Koryta

Michael Koryta (who also writes as Scott Carson) is a New York Times-bestselling author whose work has been translated into more than 20 languages and has won or been nominated for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize, Edgar® Award, Shamus Award, Barry Award, Quill Award, International Thriller Writers Award, and the Golden Dagger. They’ve been selected as “best books of the year” by numerous publications.

Michael has written for the screen in both feature film and television, writing scripts for Fox, Universal, and Amazon Studios. Those Who Wish Me Dead was released in 2020 as a major motion picture starring Angelina Jolie, Nicholas Hoult, Tyler Perry, Jon Bernthal and Aidan Gillen, directed by Taylor Sheridan. The film version of So Cold the River was released in 2022, directed by Paul Shoulberg and starring Bethany Joy Lenz, Alysia Reiner, and Andrew J. West.

Hiking, camping, boating, and fishing are all likely to occupy his free time when he’s not working on a new book. Some of his favorite spots are the Beartooth Mountains of Montana, the flowages of the Northwoods in Wisconsin, St. Petersburg, Florida, and the Maine midcoast.

After graduating from Brown University, she spent her twenties and thirties bouncing from New York City to San Francisco, Shanghai, Beijing, and Taipei and has now settled just outside Washington, D.C. with her family.

K.T. enjoys native plant gardening, jigsaw puzzles, playing with her rescue terrier Alice, and rooting for the Mets. You Know What You Did (Dutton, 4/16/24) is her debut novel.

Kaira Rouda

Kaira Rouda is an award–winning USA Today and Amazon Charts bestselling author of contemporary fiction that explores what goes on beneath the surface of seemingly perfect lives. Her novels of domestic suspense include The Widow, Somebody’s Home, The Next Wife, The Favorite Daughter, Best Day Ever, All the Difference.

Her latest, Beneath the Surface, has been optioned for a feature film. Her next novel, Under the Palms, is out May 21, 2024. To date, Kaira’s work has been translated into more than ten languages.

She lives in Southern California with her family.
